Loughgiel Councillor Kieran Mulholland has said that the new Causeway Coast and Glens Council needs to develop a strategy to deal with play parks that produces positive benefits for the people living in the parish of Loughgiel.
Cllr. Mulholland said
” The Council play park at Benvista hasn’t been updated in 30 years and is not a site suitable for children to play in anymore. I have met with Council officials and hope that in consultation with the local residents we can find some solution that tidies and modernises this area. The residents feel angry that this area has been neglected for so long.
“I want to see the Parish of Loughgiel at the centre of any Council strategy looking at play areas. I have already placed the need for a play park in Scally Park on the agenda and have also had discussions with Council Officials about how to modernise other play facilities in the area.” END
