Sinn Féin councillor for Mid and East Antrim, Patrice Hardy, has said the Cullybacky community are in shock following an aggravated burglary.
Speaking today Cllr Hardy said:
“The local community are in shock to learn of this aggravated burglary especially given the number of masked men involved and the fact that the victim was struck with a gun.
“Our thoughts are clearly with the victim who I am sure is quite shaken by this experience.
“Anyone with information should bring it straight to the PSNI. It is imperative that those behind this burglary and assault are taken off our streets.
“I would remind everyone to be vigilant at this time, especially on the run up to Christmas. Ensure that all doors and windows are locked before going to bed and keep valuables such a Christmas gifts out of sight to to deter thieves.”
